Science, Women, Diversity, and Research Excellence

On June 8th, the Honourable Ed Holder, Minister of State (Science and Technology), and Dr. B. Mario Pinto, President of NSERC, were pleased to introduce twelve leading female researchers and students whose work is improving the quality of life for Canadians. The University of Winnipeg's own Dr. Melanie Martin was part of this event, as some of the top women in science took to Parliament Hill to speak about their research with our nation's leaders.
