Overview of the UWinnipeg Policy Framework

The UWinnipeg Policy Framework supports an evidence-informed and integrated approach to policy development and implementation led by The Office of the General Counsel (OGC). 

This Framework ensures that all UWinnipeg policies are compliant with legislative and regulatory structures and congruent with innovative practices in the field of higher education.  All UWinnipeg policies are thoroughly researched, collaboratively drafted, approved, implemented, reviewed and evaluated in consultation with our University Community.

The UWinnipeg Policy Framework is guided by the Policy Development and Administration Policy [PDF].

Please note that all new and revised policies are subject to approval by the Vice Presidents and President Committee (VPP), the Senate, or the Board of Regents, depending on the subject matter of the policy.
