The Tri-Agency data deposit requirement does not require data sharing, “however, the agencies expect researchers provide appropriate access to the data where ethical, cultural, legal and commercial requirements allow…”.  This session will highlight important privacy and ethics considerations for human-based research under the purview of this policy, including planning for adequate informed consent for the deposit and sharing of research data, as well as the ontological considerations and limitations of RDM in the context of Indigenous knowledge systems.
