Call for Speakers: The 2024-25 Community and Retirement Lecture Series
As part of The University of Winnipeg's community outreach, the University is proud to present the 2024-25 Community Lecture Series and the 2024-25 Retirement Lecture Series. These series are integral to community outreach to life-long learners and contribute to the cultural life at the senior centres. Each of these centres offers a scholarship or bursary to thank and honour the UWinnipeg faculty members who have so generously and voluntarily shared their knowledge and learning with their community.
The Retirement Lecture Series, which take place at retirement residences in Winnipeg, invites lecturers from all disciplines to present to the public and contribute to knowledge mobilization in our communities. Captivate an audience with your recent research or dive deep into an engaging topic. Lectures can touch on anything from physics and biology to language and food history.
The Community Lecture Series, formerly known as the Skywalk Lecture Series, focuses on specific themes, with discussions this academic year centring on Winnipeg's sesquicentennial and "The Global World".
