Content Considerations for White Girls in Moccasins
We are proud to be presenting WHITE GIRLS IN MOCCASINS by Yolanda Bonnell.
This production includes mature language, themes and content which may be upsetting to some audience members. There are also physical components which may affect audience members.
Please read the following list of content considerations carefully.
- Prior to audience admittance at each performance, a smudging will take place in the theatre. While this will not occur with audience members in the space, there may be lingering aroma.
- Water-based theatrical haze is used during the performance.
- Pulsing lights / soft strobe effects are used during the performance.
- Sudden loud noises and disorienting noise are used during the performance.
- The content of the play includes mature language and subject matter, with references to the following:
- sexual and gender-based violence
- human trafficking
- themes of colonial violence, racism and oppression, including slurstowards Indigenous Peoples
- self-harm
- substance use
A quiet room is available in the lobby for anyone who may need to leave the theatre during the performance.
