Biography:
Renise Mlodzinski is an experienced music educator of both the instrumental and choral genres. With degrees from the University of Manitoba and University of British Columbia, she holds a background in music performance and education, and is active as a clinician, adjudicator, conductor and educator. In her work with musicians of various ages and levels, she strongly believes in the beautiful marriage of musical and personal excellence and is inspired by the ability of music to help her students better understand themselves.
Renise is the Music Director at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate, where she conducts The Collegiate instrumental and choral ensembles, as well as teaches Young Artist Intensive – a course she developed that focuses on music performance, arranging and recording processes. She also teaches the University of Winnipeg Music Appreciation (MUS/THFM-1500), Choral Ensemble Practicum (MUS/THFM-2011), and Instrumental Ensemble Practicum (MUS-1015) courses. In this role, she passionately inspires her students and works tirelessly to provide opportunities for them to be able to share a piece of themselves with others through music, as well as learn from and gain an appreciation for the gifts, talents, diversity and uniqueness of those around them.
