Couples raising money to support their wedding, teams trying to raise funds for a trip to a tournament, friends getting together to fund-raise for another friend who had a setback... Socials are fun, relaxed events where every ticket lets you enjoy great local food, drink, and the dancefloor.

In our conversations with Manitobans living in Toronto, there are a few things they miss from Winnipeg, especially the distinct flavours and sounds, so we are pulling all the stops to bring the authentic Manitoba Social experience to Toronto.

A collection of familiar treats and provincial delicacies will be available for all—including Farmery Estates beer, chocolates from Morden’s, a selection of Bothwell Cheeses and Tenderloin Meats, loafs from City Bread, and of course, plenty of perogies and honey dill sauce to dip your chicken fingers in. In addition to the regionally inspired food stations, attendees will experience a true Manitoba Social through the decades featuring a digital glimpse into the past and DJ Barry Kay playing hits from yesteryear and today.

Our emcee is none other than UWinnipeg alumna Shannon Martin (CBC Toronto), who will be taking us through our theme for this year’s event: “Winnipeg through the decades”. Tickets are only $30 and they include 1 free drink and all the food you can eat.

Net proceeds will be directed to support bursaries and scholarships for students enrolled at The University of Winnipeg and The University of Winnipeg Collegiate—a worthy cause for a truly fun event. Only 200 tickets are available!
