Community Lecture Series: Rome's Empire in its Ruins

When we look at the ruins of ancient Rome, we can see them as a silent witness of Rome's long-past position in the centre of an empire. This lecture explores how the city still holds the traces of the wealth and resources that it absorbed through conquest and colonizing many centuries ago.
