Departmental Awards
The Department of Economics annually offers a combination of competitive and automatic awards. They are merit-based and are specific to our program. We can only consider students who have declared their major in Economics (ECON) or Economics and Finance (EFIN) for awards. The FBE Academic Advisor can help you determine your ECON or EFIN major and plan your degree.
You can apply for application-required awards by completing our General Application through the online portal. Some awards may need an essay submission, references or descriptions of your extra-curricular activities. You can find these awards under “Recommended Opportunities” on the online awards portal.
The Awards and Financial Aid Office also has numerous In-Course and Entrance Awards available for current UW students. Apply online every term.
