You’re eligible if you meet these 3 criteria:

  • you’re registered as a full-time student in a secondary or post-secondary accredited academic institution
    • this includes persons with disabilities considered to have full-time status by their academic institution, and participants in adult secondary-level education and retraining programs under the authority of an accredited academic institution
  • you meet the minimum age requirement in the province or territory of work
  • you’ll return to full-time studies in the next academic term, or if you’re in your final year of studies, you must have been previously employed under either the Federal Student Work Experience Program, the Co-op/Internship Program or the Research Affiliate Program

Note: Preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents who meet the job requirements.

The Manitoba Legislative Assembly Internship Program

The Manitoba Legislative Assembly Internship Program is open to six Manitoba students in a degree program in any discipline at a Manitoba university and to permanent Manitoba residents studying outside the province. Students must have completed their degree by September 2025.

This program includes:

  • A 10-month Internship from September through June
  • Bi-weekly salary of $1,881.38 (before deductions)
  • A study trip to Westminster or a study visit to two Canadian jurisdictions, as decided by each cohort of interns
  • Seminars with Manitoba business, political, and non-profit sector leaders
  • Completing an academic paper on a Manitoba public policy issues

Youth Challenge's International's HerStart Fellowship Program

A ‘HerStart Fellowship’ is an opportunity to volunteer with YCI’s HerStart Innovate the Future program. Canadians have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute their time and energy to the bold goals of the HerStart program, while also learning about the critical global topics of women’s empowerment, climate action and social entrepreneurship. This volunteer opportunity has been designed as a ‘Fellowship’ to provide high-quality training, resources, hands-on experience and networking for Fellows, while also recognizing the level of knowledge and skills that successful applicants will bring to their positions.
