Women & Peace in the era of COVID-19

The Manitoba Women for Women of South Sudan (W4WSS) welcomes you to their upcoming event "Women and Peace in the Era of COVID-19" that will be held online on Saturday, September 26, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Guest speakers, partners in South Sudan and community members will be joining in a discussion about gender equality, gender-based violence, community peacebuilding & strategies, W4W’s COVID-19 Response Project and long-term economic sustainability for women in rural South Sudan. Following the four distinguished speakers, there will be breakout sessions where attendees are encouraged to reflect on discussion based questions, peace, global citizenship, and women’s issues.

Everybody is welcome to attend this event. It is free of admission, but everyone is encouraged to donate. All the proceeds from this event are funding W4W’s COVID-19 Response Project in South Sudan to raise awareness around the impacts of COVID-19 within 6 different locations around Rumbek, Lakes State, Wau, Juba and Western Bahr El Ghazal in South Sudan.
