2023 Sol Kanee Lecture with Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire

 Global College Executive Director, Dr. Shauna Labman, and Dr. Saad Khan (Associate Chair, Peace and Conflict Studies; Instructor, Human Rights Program), recently attended a dinner with Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

General Dallaire presented the 2023 Sol Kanee Lecture on Peace and Justice, entitled "Peace, Faith, and Humanity in Times of Crisis" at the University of Manitoba on November 9, 2023. The Sol Kanee Lecture Series for Peace and Justice, featuring distinguished leaders in the field of peace and justice, is sponsored by the Richardson Foundation and presented by the Arthur V. Mauro Institute for Peace & Justice at St. Paul's College. The Sol Kanee Lecture Series on Peace and Justice was established in 2002 with the support of the Richardson Foundation. General Dallaire's visit to the University of Manitoba was funded in part by the University of Manitoba's Distinguished Visiting Lecturer Program.
