“My Future Children Will Never Get To Experience The Home I Knew”: The Intergenerational Effects of Displacement

In commemoration to the fact that 1.5% of the world's population (117.3 million people) are forcibly living away from their home, Damhat Zagros, a Syrian born Kurd originally from Afrin who fled at 17 to Lebanon and is completing a B.A. in Human Rights at the University of Winnipeg, shared his story and the intergenerational effects of displacement in an article for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, entitled '“My future children will never get to experience the home I knew”: The intergenerational effects of displacement.'
