Colour Printing

Colour adds impact to your printed material, and it’s more affordable than you might think.

For short-run colour (up to approx. 500 copies), our Ricoh 6513 printer provides cost effective, high quality photocopies and laser prints. The Ricoh 6513 can print on paper, cover stock, and transparencies. We can produce output up to 11” x 17” in-house, often while you wait.

Consider this for printing:

• digital photos
• small quantities of business cards
• posters, maps, brochures
• transparencies
• report covers

For larger volume jobs or specialized colour applications, Printing Services utilizes the skills of local commercial print shops. This might include projects like:

• large format posters and banners
• signage
• UW stationery
• large quantities of posters, brochures, magzines, and newsletters

It is strongly recommended that UW departments work with Printing Services to coordinate all aspects of their colour-printing job. Printing Services employees average more than a decade of commercial printing experience and have the necessary industry knowledge to communicate effectively with outside printers. Printing Services staff can develop job specifications, obtain quotes, prepare and issue purchase orders, and follow up on your job. In the case of a dispute, Printing Services works on your behalf.

All external print jobs are awarded in accordance with the University’s established purchasing policies.
