Biography:

David Navratil is a strong advocate for life-long learning, having returned to university as an adult learner from 1999-2012. While completing his advanced BA (English & Film Studies), MA (English Literature & Creative Writing), and MBA (Marketing), he also ran his own Winnipeg-based sales agency and taught writing & communication courses at the University of Winnipeg. He has also completed the coursework for a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Calgary.

Using a learner-centered perspective, David builds his courses with the student in mind. He likes to focus on 3 key principles: critical thinking, essay construction, and research tools. The primary goal is to ensure that students learn the practical skills required to write and research university essays and assignments. When he isn’t teaching, David also develops courses and does freelance writing.
