Historical Societies
The Manitoba Historical Society founded in 1879, is the oldest organization in Western Canada dedicated to preserving our past for future generations. The MHS supports preservation, promotion, research, and education through award programs which recognize the works of Manitoba youth, and the many farms, businesses, and organizations that have operated continuously for 100 years or more. The website includes historical articles on a wide range of individuals and institutions.

Solar Arch This web site contains Thomas S Keter’s papers on trappers in the Round Valley of California during the 1800s and the possible historical presence of beavers in the Yolla Bolly Mountains in the same state. This site may be of interest for those looking at HBC in California. Thanks to Wayne Knauf who pointed this site out to us.
