Bike Security

The University of Winnipeg encourages sustainable transportation through cycling, and offers over 250 open-access spaces for bicycles on campus. Although Security Services makes every effort to create a secure space for bicycles, the risk of theft always exists. Be diligent when parking your bicycle on campus, and follow these steps to minimize risk:

• Use a high-quality U-lock
• Remove your quick-release tire and secure it to your bike frame with lock
• Remove your seat and take it with you

Secured-access parking spaces are also available for rent in a variety of locations across campus.
