Email Migration Completed!

The Technology Sector would like to thank all faculty and staff for their patience and co-operation during the Email Migration project.

The Technology Sector is pleased to announce that the email migration from Merlin Hosted Exchange to Microsoft M365 has been a success. Everyone’s data has now been transferred to M365. The original estimate was that it would take until Nov 19 to transfer all of the historic data from Exchange to M365. In record time all email/calendar data transfer was complete on Wednesday Nov 10 by 9:00 AM. A full 9 days ahead of schedule. (Thank you to everyone who cleaned up their mailboxes before the migration.)

An email migration is never easy and there is never a good time to do it. However, with only a few hiccups UWinnipeg is now positioned to take advantage of the full M365 Suite of products including Microsoft Teams.

A thank you also needs to go out to all of the people from across campus who assisted people in their own departments to remove their Outlook profile and then Configure their new profile. (Library, HR, Theatre and Film, Printing Services, Geography, Facilities, ACS).
