The Riley Postdoctoral Fellowship

The University of Winnipeg and the History Department would like to Welcome this years  Riley PostDoctoral Fellows for 2024-25  Dr. Anne Lindsay And Dr. Sarah Bertram. 

Dr. Anne Lindsay will continue her research on 

“especially in this free Country:” Webs of Empire, Slavery and the Fur Trade

Dr. Sarah York-Bertram successfully defended her SSHRC-funded doctoral dissertation in February 2024—a history of emotion exploring the affective basis of judgments and narratives surrounding sex work in the western Canadian prairie provinces in the late-nineteenth and early-twentieth centuries.
