Reading Ourselves in the Records: "Metis Relationality as Embedded in Colonial Archives"
Dr. Brenda Macdougall, Chair of Métis Research University of Ottawa, has been researching Metis community histories for many years. She is the author of One of the Family: Metis Culture in Nineteenth Century Northwestern Saskatchewan (2010) as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters. More recently she’s worked as a collaborator to build an online database of historical resources related to Metis history, the DADproject (https://dadp.ok.ubc.ca).
