Biography:
Kristen A. Hardy (PhD candidate, York) is an instructor at the University of Winnipeg, and an Adjunct Professor in Health Studies and Associate Member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Brandon University. She is an interdisciplinary sociologist, who, in addition to teaching work in sociology, anthropology, religious studies, disability studies, and gender studies, also researches and publishes in the area of historical and contemporary medical and cultural constructions of the body. She is also a Teaching Affiliate with Brandon University’s Centre for Teaching, Learning & Technology.
Teaching Areas:
Sociology and anthropology of health and medicine; ethnomedical systems; religion and medicine; sexuality and religion; disability justice and sexuality.
